The Lydia Osteoporosis Project Community Café creates a safe and welcoming space for people living with osteoporosis and osteopenia, as well as those caring for someone with the condition. It offers an opportunity not only to access information, but to share experiences, ask questions and ensure that lived experiences are heard.
NEXT CAFE at Midlothian Community Hospital: Thursday 17th September 2-4pm.
The Lydia Osteoporosis Project is inviting people living with osteoporosis or osteopenia to come together for support, advice and open conversation at our first Lydia Osteoporosis Community Café to be held at Midlothian Community Hospital.
As this is our first Community Café to be held in Midlothian, time will be dedicated to connect with others, learn about the Lydia Osteoporosis Project, share ideas and experiences, and help shape future cafes.
The event will take place on Thursday 17th September 2026, from 2pm to 4pm (arrival from 1.45pm) at Midlothian Community Hospital. Please arrive at the reception area and members of our team will be there to greet you.
Please note, this is not a ‘drop-in’, but a structured event which runs for the full two hours.
Places are free, but booking is essential. To reserve a place, please email: lydiaosteoporosisproject@qmu.ac.uk or telephone/text: 07889 486439 including any dietary requirements.
